Purpose of the report and methodology

This page describes how primary survey data were collected and analyzed for the impact report and live analytics dashboards.

Survey design and analysis

This report uses primary survey data to quantify and document real-world consequences of the policy pause. It is intended to provide an evidence base for advocates, policymakers, legal organizations, and the broader public. Data were collected through a structured online survey distributed via immigration networks on social media. A total of 189 individuals completed the survey between February and March 2026.

All responses were anonymized, and the data were analyzed using descriptive methods. The survey was organized into 10 sections covering demographics, education, employment, immigration status, effects across seven life domains (financial, education, employment, family, health, housing, and legal), future plans, and additional information. Questions included multiple-choice, multi-select, Likert scale, and open-ended formats.
